A graduate of the University of Toronto in Human Biology, Sharon completed her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto. She went on to pursue further graduate work, completing her Master of Science from the Rehabilitation Sciences Institute and a PhD from the Institute of Medical Science both from the University of Toronto.
Her interest in Physiotherapy originated while pursuing her first undergraduate degree while struggling with postural challenges and seeking physiotherapy treatment. Her interest in medicine, working with people, and developing and adhering to therapeutic plans inspired her to pursue a career in Physiotherapy. Her interest in research, orthopaedics, neurology, therapeutic agents and pressure injuries (bed sores) lead her to pursue graduate work.
Sharon emphasizes a holistic approach to rehabilitation. Her experience of raising a son with a disability has continued to inform her career that has spanned over 25 years. She is able to appreciate the rehabilitation process not only from the professional perspective, but from the client perspective. Her extensive knowledge of biomechanics, orthopaedics, exercise prescription, electrophysical agents with a strong background in research enables her to provide evidence based treatment when designing and implementing rehabilitation plans. With a special interest in patient and family engagement through her volunteer work, Sharon is able to ensure that treatment that is provided takes into consideration the unique challenges that individuals may experience when adhering to treatment recommendations in their busy lives.

Alanna graduated from the University of Toronto with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy after completing her Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario.
Growing up, she was involved in sports from a young age and realized it was important to take care of your body. As part of her undergraduate degree, Alanna worked as the Student Trainer for University of Western Ontario’s Varsity Women’s Field Hockey Team, allowing her to gain experience working with high level athletes and a multitude of injuries. Alanna gained a deep appreciation for the profession through the rigorous and methodical treatments that were applied by the sports medicine team including physiotherapists, and ultimately was determined to help others gain the benefit of similar treatments.
Alanna’s treatment approach is focused on creating individualized programs which incorporate client specific goals. Alanna’s primary tools include manual therapy, exercise prescription, acupuncture, as well as education to build the most effective program for each patient.
Alanna is passionate about continued education and has completed courses in basic sport taping, soft tissue release, acupuncture, Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction and has obtained her Level 1 Certification in Manual Therapy from the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Alanna has also completed her certification to treat concussion and post-concussion syndrome, dizziness, and benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. Alanna is excited to implement the best treatment plans for all of her clients to help each individual regain skills and mobility they had pre-injury from recreational physical activity to highly competitive sport.

Juliana Nunes da Silva

Juliana Nunes da Silva is a dedicated physiotherapist with a strong background in both clinical care and research. She began her career in Brazil, where she earned an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy and a post-graduate specialization in Inpatient Physiotherapy. She later completed her Master of Science in Rehabilitation Science at the University of Toronto.
With over eight years of clinical experience, Juliana has worked in various healthcare settings, including intensive care units and hospital wards. She has treated a wide range of conditions, such as respiratory illnesses, acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries, and post-stroke mobility impairments.
Juliana has a particular interest in shoulder and neck injuries—areas that can significantly impact quality of life and function. She is passionate about improving assessment and treatment strategies for these complex musculoskeletal conditions. Currently, Juliana is working towards becoming an Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal professional to deepen her expertise and provide the highest level of care to her patients.
Fluent in English and Portuguese, with beginner-level proficiency in Spanish, Juliana prioritizes patient-centered care, focusing on empathy, clear communication, and individualized treatment plans that empower patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Irvin graduated from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy with a Master of Osteopathic Manual Science.
His journey in bodywork began early, as he grew up in a family business deeply rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine. After graduating from the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese medicine, he worked at a clinic for many years, specialised in acupuncture.
His passion for anatomy and the body inspired him to study the performing arts, and he went on to receive his Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance from York University. Over the last decade he has worked concurrently as a professional dancer and Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner. This experience has provided him with an in-depth understanding of the body and how it moves, and his time working with dancers, athletes, and the general population gave him the skills and knowledge to work with a multitude of bodies and injuries.
To enhance his skills and provide better care for his patients, Irvin pursued an osteopathic education and received his Master’s of Osteopathic Manual Science. He found the principles governing osteopathy to be incredibly efficient, potent, and well-aligned with his philosophy on health and patient care. He uses his skills, knowledge, and experience to provide the best possible care for his patients, helping them to achieve their best health and their best selves.
